Description
Papeete in Tahiti, Reykjavik, Prague, Melbourne or Toronto: Street art and graffiti have long since found their way from European and North American metropolises into the world. Expert Alessandra Mattanza discovered her love for this thoroughly ambivalent art movement years ago with a small yellow script in a dark Venetian alley and has since followed it to almost every continent. She met 20 of the most internationally renowned street artists, from Banksy to Philippe Baudelocque, and asked them about their motives and visions. It was in the most distant place, Tahiti, that she found the most compelling examples of what street art stands for today: the desire for peace, love, equality, respect and a better world.
